About the workplace
Storgatan's Group Home is an LSS residence for individuals with varying support needs. Here, 6 care recipients live who have been granted assistance according to LSS 9 § 9 and receive support in their daily lives at home and during leisure time. How the support is provided is described in each care recipient's implementation plan and is based on their will, needs, and conditions.
Substitute caregiver – Make a difference in people's everyday lives!
Are you an engaged and responsible person who wants to make a positive difference in people's lives? We are now looking for substitute caregivers and summer substitutes for our operations. With us, you will have the opportunity to support individuals in their daily lives and contribute to their independence, participation, and well-being.
Job responsibilities
As a substitute caregiver with us, you will:
- Support care recipients in their daily lives based on individual implementation plans.
- Motivate and support the individual in a pedagogical way to achieve set goals.
- Create a safe, structured, and meaningful everyday life.
- Work both independently and in a team.
- Participate in leisure activities, outings, and other social contexts.
- Collaborate with colleagues, relatives, and other professional actors.
- Follow the organization's routines and guidelines according to current legislation.
- Prepare shared meals and follow guidelines from the health and environmental administration.
- Provide support in personal care, such as hygiene, dressing, and toilet visits. In some cases, work with incontinence aids is included, which requires a safe, respectful, and professional approach with great consideration for the individual's integrity.
- Adapt communication according to the individual's ability, for example, through clear and simple language, visual support, or other alternative communication methods (AAC).
We are looking for someone who
- Has a strong empathetic ability and can meet each individual based on their specific needs.
- Is confident in providing support in personal care and has a respectful approach in integrity-sensitive situations.
- Understands the importance of integrity, especially regarding personal hygiene and incontinence.
- Has the ability to adapt your communication according to the individual's cognitive and communicative conditions. You can use clear, simple, and structured language and are open to using alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
- Has patience and understanding that some care recipients do not have fully developed language skills.
- Is curious, flexible, and adaptable in your approach.
- Can work independently and make your own decisions in everyday situations.
- Has good collaboration skills and contributes to a positive work environment.
- Has a solution-focused attitude.
- Can understand, speak, read, and write Swedish, as the job requires documentation and collaboration with various actors.
