Do you have ideas for the future and are you driven by challenges? In Haninge, you will develop alongside supportive colleagues who want to make a difference today. Right now, one of the most ambitious transformation efforts in our municipality's history is underway. We are building a new city, about 20 minutes from Söder. Join us on our journey.
In our adaptation for the future social services, we have divided our operations into first and second-line social services, where the first line focuses on prevention and support, which is one of four areas within IFO.
Our area consists of units within reception, family law, domestic violence teams, preventive and assistance-assessed interventions, as well as administrative tasks and other support functions. Each unit is led by a unit manager, and the area as a whole is managed by an area manager.
The family treatment unit for ages 0-17 implements assistance-assessed interventions in the form of family treatment, intensive family treatment, family pedagogical support, and from January 2026, we will also offer interventions without assistance decisions. The unit consists of two teams, a family treatment team and an intensive family treatment team, working to ensure that children and young people grow up under good living conditions. Open care is facing an exciting development where interventions are shaped in close collaboration with other important actors in the field, aiming to continuously develop and adapt to the needs we encounter among children and young people to provide the best support. As part of our operational development, we now want to expand the team for intensive family treatment and are therefore looking for family therapists who will work intensively, flexibly, and more in the families' homes. The expansion is part of offering more interventions at home, aiming for children and young people to have their needs met by their parents and be able to grow up at home as much as possible.
Your mission
- You and your colleagues work specifically with families with complex issues to prevent or shorten placements of children and young people.
- Together with a colleague, you will plan the treatment based on the child's needs and work with the family during an intensive period, mostly in the families' homes.
- You will create an implementation plan for the assignment and work based on evidence and knowledge-based methods.
- Since the assignment mainly consists of home interventions, collaboration is a crucial part as there are often needs for interventions from, and coordination with, several different actors.
- Involving the family's network is another important part of your work to increase children's safety and create conditions for support to families over time.
- You need to be flexible in working hours as a large part of the treatment work will be conducted in the family's home, which may involve working hours scheduled for early mornings and late evenings on weekdays. You and your colleagues may need to work one Saturday or Sunday per month if necessary for the assignment.
Your qualifications
- Degree in social work, or education that the employer considers equivalent, with further training corresponding to step 1.
- Experience in family treatment.
- Correct Swedish in speech and writing.
- Knowledge of BBIC.
- Driver's license is a requirement.
Your competence
As an employee with us, it is natural that you enjoy collaborating with others but can also work independently. You have an easy time building good relationships, you are attentive and clear in your communication. You have good knowledge of relevant legislation, child development, and keep up with current research. You have knowledge of working methods and methods that are relevant to the target group. You need to be ready to take on complex assignments and be flexible in your working methods.
We are looking for someone who can see the opportunities in complex social work, has an easy time collaborating, is flexible, curious, and has the best interests of the children in focus. We see it as natural that you are responsible, have integrity, and value quality.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
We offer you
We who work here are knowledgeable and engaged in our work and care for each other and maintain a good atmosphere in the groups. We want our work to be characterized by consensus, quality, and legal certainty, and we think it is important to develop in our work.
As an employee in Haninge municipality, we care about your work environment and ensure that you are involved in the processes and decisions related to your daily work. We are constantly working to make Haninge municipality a workplace where people enjoy working, and therefore your thoughts and improvement suggestions are welcome. As part of our work environment efforts, we value proximity to your nearest manager, a developed structure for regular support such as check-ins and external supervision, specialist social workers with an organization-wide mission including method support, implementation, and recurring training, as well as a business developer to support our continued development with a target group-focused working method. Finally, we see competence development as an important part of being able to meet our families in the best way and therefore we particularly invest in training the team in FFT and offer method supervision as part of our implementation and certification.
We are located in bright, pleasant office spaces with good parking options and proximity to shopping centers, restaurants, natural areas, and Handen commuter train station. We have free access to a gym in the municipal building, wellness grants, annual working hours, and the possibility of vacation exchange and days off on bridge days.
