About the Organization

The Elderly Care Authority is tasked with investigating and assessing needs as well as following up on services for our residents over 65 years old.

We are an authority exercising our mandate according to applicable legislation and in accordance with the administration's delegation order and guidelines. We have social workers, housing coordinators, and fee administrators working with us. Daily operations are led by two team leaders and a unit manager.

Your Mission

Your main task is to investigate and make decisions regarding support according to the Social Services Act for our elderly residents. You will be surrounded by professional colleagues who are committed to conducting a legally secure authority exercise, carefully managing taxpayers' money, and providing good accessibility and service.

The position is a temporary contract until December 31, 2026.

Your Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work
• We prefer that you have good collaborative skills and relate to others in a responsive manner.
• You work independently and in a structured way by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work.
• You are relationship-building and have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations.

If you have experience in elderly care or extended legal competence, this is an advantage.

Your Competence

• You are self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of making decisions.
• You are good at taking your own initiatives.
• You have a solution-oriented, engaged approach and provide a good reception to those you meet.
• You have good collaborative skills and a sense of service.
• The work involves collaboration with several actors both within and outside the municipality. The work is flexible and independent but requires you to easily establish contacts, take responsibility, and be meticulous.
• You need to have a good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Other: A driver's license (B) is desirable.
