About the position

I am a cheerful and social 23-year-old guy living in Hägersten. I have a cerebral palsy disability and use a wheelchair. I am non-verbal but communicate through signs, sounds, and bliss. As a personal assistant, you are expected to be my arms and legs, which means you will help me with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, showering, and other personal hygiene.

My interests include music, especially dance band music. It is not a requirement that we share this interest, but it is an advantage if you enjoy listening to music as I often do. I also like to travel with Viking Line and visit relatives in Gothenburg, and every year we visit Böda Camping. This means that travel is part of the job. I also attend a daily activity program four days a week from 9 AM to 3 PM with my assistant.

One position is a part-time job of about 70%, and the other position is a casual employment for work as needed and during the absence of regular staff.

Working hours are scheduled as follows:

  • 08:15-16:00/17:00/18:00,

  • 16:00-21:00/22:00,

  • 17:00-23:00,

  • 12:00-21:00. 

  • 22:00/23:00-08:00. There is approximately 7.5 hours of waiting time/night.

  • Double assistance may occur. 

About you

As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our client. You will be an important part of their life and contribute to their independence and well-being.

We believe that you who are applying for this position are a person who is attentive, responsible, flexible, and cooperative. The most important thing is that there is personal chemistry between you as an applicant and the client. This may become decisive in the final selection.

It is required that you

  • Are not allergic to furry animals,

  • Have fluent knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing,

  • Can handle heavy lifting and various types of transfers,

  • Are flexible in your availability and can work all hours of the day,

  • Are smoke-free.

It is meritorious if you

  • Have experience working as a personal assistant or in care and support,

  • Have experience with bliss communication.

Scope: 1 part-time position of about 70%, 1 extra/as needed. Number of positions: 2. Start date: Immediately, by agreement. Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the positions will be filled as soon as possible. Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensation in accordance with collective agreements.

If you are to work with this client, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. As of March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply, which means that the background check will include both an extract from the criminal record and an extract from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Please note that processing times may vary, so ordering should be done in good time.
