Do you want to contribute to the fight against welfare crime by preventing and handling incorrect payments? We are now looking for you who want to join our FUT team in Haninge Municipality!

The position is a permanent full-time employment and is organizationally placed within Individual and Family Care (IFO), the area of Financial Assistance and Integration. The assignment has an overarching character and includes support for four units within the operational area.

Your assignment

You take active leadership in the development of the operations by initiating, driving, and implementing improved routines and working methods within investigations, recoveries, and police reports.

As an investigator of incorrect payments (FUT), you work through the entire recovery process – from review and investigation to decisions on recovery and potential police reports. You have contact with the judicial system and can, if necessary, bring a case to the administrative court.

The work involves both independence and close collaboration with others, so we are looking for someone who has the ability to build good relationships and inspire engagement.

The role also includes preventive work through:

  • Advice, file reviews, and support for social secretaries and managers
  • Workshops, training, and information campaigns
  • Meetings with participants and clients to inform about rights and obligations

Home visits may occur as part of ensuring correct documentation or as support in the investigation work. You are also responsible for the review certificate and control of financial assistance payments in accordance with current guidelines and delegation.

What we are looking for in you

  • Relevant higher education such as social worker, behavioral scientist, police officer, or other education assessed as equivalent by the employer
  • Extensive knowledge of current legislation in the area of welfare crime
  • Experience investigating welfare crime in municipal and/or state operations
  • Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish

Meritorious:

  • Experience in processing financial assistance cases
  • Experience in conducting training and lecturing to groups

Personal qualities

  • High integrity and professional attitude
  • Structured and analytical with an eye for detail
  • Ability to build good relationships and engagement in others
  • Unpretentious and flexible – can switch between investigation work and advisory roles
  • Independent but also a team player who contributes to the team's development
  • Good communication skills both orally and in writing

For us, it is important who you are and that you want to be part of developing, not just your assignment but also the collegial cooperation.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

A probationary period may be applied.

Interviews will be conducted continuously, so apply today!

What we can offer you

We are located in bright, pleasant office spaces with good parking facilities and proximity to shopping centers, restaurants, nature areas with swimming, skiing, and running tracks, as well as Handens commuter train station, only 20 minutes from Söder. We have free access to the gym in the municipal building, smoke-free working hours, wellness checks, annual working hours, sandwich weeks, and the possibility of holiday exchange. In the role, you are given the opportunity for external supervision and continuous competence development based on needs.

In this recruitment, we have already made our choices of advertising channels and partners. We kindly but firmly decline all forms of assistance with the recruitment from outside parties.

Employment can only take place after a satisfactory extract from the Police Register has been obtained.

During the summer period, week 27 to week 32, response times may be longer than usual. We thank you for your patience.

Haninge Municipality sees diversity as a strength and welcomes all applicants. Our competence-based recruitment methodology aims to focus on the individual's competence and thereby also combat discrimination.
