A family living in Solna is looking for an engaged and empathetic teacher who can support their 6-year-old son in developing his reading and writing skills in Swedish. Currently, he is falling behind his classmates in reading and writing, which has negatively affected both his motivation and self-confidence. He experiences frustration over not being able to keep up with the others, which has led to a decreased desire to go to school.

Therefore, they are looking for someone who can not only teach reading and writing but also support his motivation, concentration, and self-esteem. The goal is to help him regain a positive attitude towards learning, catch up with his classmates, and reduce the risk of having to repeat a grade.

At home, they speak Japanese and Greek, and the parents communicate in English.

Time commitment:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday around 1:30 PM – 5:00/5:30 PM

Job responsibilities:

• Pick up from after-school care around 1:30 PM
• Study time at a nearby library
• Combine studies and play to maintain motivation

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a qualified teacher with experience with children of the same age
• Speaks fluent Swedish
• Works with patience, understanding, and empathy
• Is calm and secure and can help him build his self-confidence
