Källtorpskolan is a 7-9 school located in Kallhäll, Järfälla. Approximately 340 students attend the school, and 30 of these students are in adapted primary school.

We are now looking for a qualified special educator for our operations within adapted primary school. We currently have 30 students in our program but have space for 40 students, and we will grow in the coming years. The students study both subjects and subject areas within adapted primary school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Källtorpskolan is now seeking an engaged, solution-focused, and competent special educator with a focus on intellectual disabilities who is passionate about making a difference for students with special needs within adapted primary school.

As a special educator with us, you work in a small, safe, and creative school environment where each student's strengths and needs are in focus. You teach in small groups with individualized instruction, often thematically and interdisciplinary. We use clarifying pedagogy and alternative learning tools to create a structured and meaningful school day for students with autism and intellectual disabilities.

You collaborate closely with teaching assistants to promote learning, communication, and independence for each student.

Examples of job responsibilities

• Plan and implement teaching in adapted primary school
• Work with clarifying pedagogy and alternative learning tools
• Teach in subject areas within adapted primary school
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and school management
• Guide teaching assistants regarding students' goals and working methods
• Contribute to a safe, predictable, and stimulating learning environment
• Participate in the school's development work and pedagogical forums

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed special educator with a focus on intellectual disabilities, with experience in adapted primary school.

You have a warm and professional approach, clear structure, and a solution-focused mindset. You believe in each student's potential and have good collaboration skills as well as a genuine commitment to students with special needs.

Probationary employment for 6 months
