Do you have knowledge in system integration, cognitive science, UI/UX, or embedded systems? Then you might be the one we are looking for today!
About the role
As a systems engineer, you will develop and improve interfaces and user experiences for pilots in aircraft. You will primarily work with cockpit functions, focusing on system integration in advanced flight systems. You will be part of an agile team that works in 3-week sprints, where collaboration and a holistic perspective are central.
In this role, you will be responsible for your functions and ensure that they work in conjunction with other systems. The work includes the development, implementation, testing, and validation of HMI solutions for cockpit and helmet systems. You will have close contact with the testing department and pilots, whom you will meet regularly for feedback and verification.
The role is communicative and involves many technical discussions with other teams and stakeholders within the company. You will work through the entire development chain – from requirements and design to testing and certification – focusing on developing robust and user-friendly systems that support the pilot's decision-making. Independent work is included in the form of analysis and documentation, and technical understanding is necessary even if you will not be writing code. The work environment is characterized by openness and collaboration, where the exchange of ideas is encouraged. The team has a mixed level of expertise, which provides opportunities to both learn from senior colleagues and support more junior staff. The work is conducted on-site in Linköping.
