IT Specialist at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to help deliver and develop the IT department's support services to the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's more than 20,000 employees.

In the role of IT user support specialist, your work will be varied, and you will work closely with your colleagues in the Team Information group and collaborate cross-functionally with other groups within the authority. You will be part of a team responsible for developing the user experience of the correctional service's IT support. You will ensure that IT-related information reaches users and colleagues in a clear, relevant, and timely manner.

In this role, you will be a key person who, together with the team, supports the IT department's service center in developing a more mature, service- and user-oriented approach, focusing on consistent and clear communication with the users of the operations. Here, change management and good communication will be important, as well as the ability to streamline work processes.

You will be operationally responsible for driving and implementing various activities within the decided assignments that Team Information drives or is involved in. The work includes planning and structuring your work effectively and working towards established goals and deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

You can work well both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. You handle changes flexibly and structure your work to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently. By taking initiative, you contribute to driving the operations forward.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed upper secondary education or other education combined with work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Experience in service work in a support function
• Experience in producing information and text processing or other work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Good knowledge of the Office suite
• Very good ability to formulate clear, correct, and engaging text
• Very good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
• Good computer skills

It is an advantage if you have:

• A degree in a relevant field
• Experience in project work according to the PPS model
• Experience in producing graphic material
• Experience working within a government agency
• Experience working according to the ITIL framework
