Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Test Lead for an assignment in the banking and finance sector. You will have overall responsibility for leading and coordinating testing efforts in a complex delivery involving multiple internal teams and external vendors. The role includes test strategy, establishment of test processes, quality assurance, and ongoing monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Define, establish, and anchor the overall test strategy while ensuring a structured test process throughout the delivery.
• Lead and coordinate testing activities between internal teams and external vendors with their own testing organizations.
• Create a shared understanding of working methods, timelines, dependencies, quality goals, and entry and exit criteria for test phases.
• Ensure prerequisites for testing (environments, test data, planning, and staffing of test phases).
• Work closely with the business to ensure that test scenarios and test cases reflect business flows as well as regulatory and functional requirements.
• Coordinate and support the execution of UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
• Be responsible for overall defect management, quality monitoring, risk management, and tracking of test progress.
• Deliver structured status and quality reporting to the steering group and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Documented experience as a Test Lead/Test Manager, QA Lead, or equivalent in larger and complex projects.
• Experience in coordinating and managing testing efforts across multiple vendors and internal teams.
• Very good knowledge of testing processes, testing methodologies, and working according to SDLC and/or agile delivery models.
• Practical experience with test management tools and Jira.
• Experience in structured quality management, defect management, and test reporting.
• Experience from the banking, finance, or credit sector.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with testing in regulated environments.
• Experience working with multiple parallel release/delivery tracks and complex dependencies.
• Experience driving improvements in testing processes and quality.
