About Us

As a system administrator within Technical Operations, you will work in a broad area with system and management issues. You will be part of a management group and the work is carried out together with other colleagues and partners. You will belong to the Systems and Development department. The Systems and Development department (SoU) conducts communication, navigation, and surveillance services. SoU is also responsible for LFV's administrative information technology, development activities, as well as system planning and procurement. The department is responsible for LFV's technical equipment for air traffic management, flight briefing services, and aviation weather services.

Job Responsibilities

Do you want to contribute to a stable and sustainable management of critical societal systems? As a senior system administrator focusing on Linux and container-based system platforms, you will work with the technical management of flight information systems within the aviation sector. You will be part of a team that works to create a robust and professional management capability of the systems, where collaboration between operations, technology, and suppliers is central, and where quality, clarity, and responsibility permeate all work.

Your main job responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring technical quality, stability, and long-term sustainability within the Linux part of the platform
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and quality-assuring technical changes before implementation
  • Identifying, initiating, and driving improvements related to robustness, performance, monitoring, and security
  • Defining requirements and following up on deliveries from external suppliers
  • Actively contributing to change and release processes according to established methods
  • Conducting risk assessments and root cause analyses during incidents or deviations
  • Documenting and working in a structured, transparent, and traceable manner
  • Sharing knowledge and supporting more junior colleagues, as well as contributing to the development of internal competence

The role gives you the opportunity to contribute your experience, stability, and long-term perspective in a complex and regulated environment, while also developing both the platform and the team's management capability.

Your Profile

We expect you to have an academic education such as engineering or have acquired equivalent competence in another way. You have senior Linux expertise and many years of experience working in a production environment. Furthermore, you have documented experience working in a system management organization and good familiarity with working in issue management systems.

You have a good understanding of container-based environments, such as Docker and Kubernetes. It is advantageous if you have experience working with and defining requirements for external operations and system suppliers, as well as experience in change management in a regulated or safety-critical environment. Experience from government agencies is also advantageous, as well as knowledge of ITIL and pm3 and experience participating in or leading CAB. You have good communication skills and express yourself fluently in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

We are looking for someone who is confident in their technical skills and is willing to share them. You are solution-oriented and goal-driven, take responsibility for the whole, and ensure that the structure is maintained even when the pace is high. With good risk awareness and respect for regulations and security, you create effective and long-term solutions. You also have good collaboration skills and work selflessly in the team.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
