Electronic Warfare (EW) Area

In Gripen, we are responsible for the requirements setting & development of the EW system that protects the aircraft against threats. The system includes radar warning receivers, laser & missile warning systems that detect incoming attacks, as well as active & passive countermeasures such as electronic jamming and the deployment of flares.

Your Role

As an equipment engineer, you will have a cohesive and driving technical role. You will work closely with the experienced colleagues we have in the technical area. You will have the opportunity to work with hardware throughout the aircraft's lifecycle, from early definition phases and procurements to maintenance and operational feedback. Working with subcontractors, purchasing, production, aircraft mechanics, pilots, and Saab's collective expertise in equipment development will be common. You will be part of a team that works with both Gripen C/D and Gripen E/F, as well as with the development of future combat aircraft.

Your Profile

Previous experience in working with hardware, procurements, or maintenance for flying systems is a significant merit. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and how you can contribute to the team's ability to deliver. You are an engineer or have worked for many years in relevant areas at Saab.
