Your Role

System Safety is part of an area belonging to Fighter Aircraft Gripen. Our area works with system safety for the flight systems within Gripen, C/D, E/F, T-7 Red Hawk, Globaleye as well as demo and research and development. In your role as a Systems Safety Engineer, you will work with architecture, risk analysis, and design of systems and technical solutions, as well as the development of overarching product documentation. Your tasks will vary in assignments and size and often include a combination of the aforementioned areas. There is also the opportunity to work broadly regarding processes and dialogue with customers and authorities, in research projects with system safety and regulations for unmanned vehicles, or more product-related activities or design work within e.g. FMEA.

Your Profile

We see that you are a graduate engineer in fields such as physics, mechanics, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or aerospace engineering. We have the opportunity to give you a chance to have a holistic perspective on the aircraft regardless of whether you have several years of experience in development or if you have recently graduated. The most important thing for us is that you have an interest in learning more about our operations and want to develop in the role of a systems safety engineer!

You are structured, meticulous, and have an easy time expressing yourself in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. You have a social ability to create good customer relationships and are curious about technical challenges with a solution-oriented and unpretentious attitude. You will have good development opportunities and the ability to take initiative and drive your own projects and work.

We prefer that you have experience in any of the following areas:

• System design and development
• Review/requirements management/requirements analysis
• Product development
• System safety analyses such as e.g. failure mode effect analysis and fault tree analysis
• Regulations in aviation safety
• CE marking in another industry

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
