System Administrator for Information Support

Your Role

Do you want to help shape the next generation of IT environments? We are now looking for a system administrator for the Information Support area within the Gripen business unit, who wants to work with the entire system chain - from application and database to server platform and future cloud solutions.

In this role, you will work with complex systems in a technically advanced environment where you have real influence over future development. You will combine stable operations with improvement work and have the opportunity to develop within hybrid and cloud solutions, in close collaboration with both development and operations.

You will be responsible for ensuring that solutions from development projects are transitioned into stable and long-term operations while driving modernization of the platform. This is a role for you who want more than just to "keep the lights on" - you want to understand the systems in depth, improve them, and help shape how the future IT environment should look.

Your role will include the following

• Operations and management of applications and servers
• Installations, updates, backups, as well as incident and change management
• Problem analysis and continuous improvement of operations and processes
• Collaboration with development as well as documentation and handover
• Development towards hybrid and cloud environments with a focus on automation and scalability

The Information Support area is responsible for ensuring that our digital information solutions for integrated logistics support (ILS) function stably, efficiently, and sustainably over the long term. Our systems often have very long lifespans and are continuously developed in line with new technology.

At the same time, you thrive in an environment where things happen and where you sometimes need to familiarize yourself with new issues. With a curious and analytical mindset, you are eager to tackle problems, delve into details, and work systematically to understand causes and find solutions. You are motivated by continuously developing your knowledge and skills.

Required Competencies:

• Good understanding of how applications, databases, and infrastructure interact
• Experience in incident and problem management
• Familiarity with IT Service Management processes
• Ability to document and work systematically

Meritorious:

• Experience in system administration in larger environments
• SQL
• Active Directory
• Scripting and automation
• Experience with cloud platforms or interest in developing in this area

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
