Your tasks

Do you want to help create modern, user-friendly solutions that simplify everyday life for the residents of Linköping and our employees? Then we have an exciting assignment for you! We offer a position where you can use your passion for solution architecture to develop solutions for a modern and efficient municipality. Join us in identifying new opportunities through environmental monitoring and analysis of user needs together with us at Linköping Municipality.

Your main role will be as a solution architect. In your work, you will use our reference architecture, which you will also help further develop. You will work closely with the operations of all municipal administrations. Based on requirements and needs, you will develop solutions that are delivered as services to the operations. This can involve everything from new e-services for citizens to streamlining internal processes through smart operational systems, where your work contributes to both increased utility and good resource management. Your work will include producing solution architecture, which includes cost estimation, communicating with system technicians and software developers, participating in the design of service content and delivery models, as well as procurement processes according to LOU. You will play an important role in the project from the idea stage until the system implementation has been completed and acceptance tests have been approved. 

You will work in a team with colleagues in IT and operational representatives and will have the support of our Service Management processes that follow the ITIL framework. With us, you will receive support from mentors, colleagues, and managers.

The municipality's IT department is an organization that combines IT expertise with municipal operations. Together with our team of over 100 colleagues, we are responsible for ensuring a stable and modern IT environment that spans many different technologies and platforms for over 10,000 users and impacts 160,000 residents of Linköping.

Who you are

We are looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for the possibilities of technology. We see that you have a relevant university degree in IT or equivalent work experience. You have broad experience working in IT as a solution architect, service owner, application specialist, or similar. 

Most importantly, you are curious, have the willingness, ability, and sufficient knowledge to design solution architecture. Therefore, we consider it meritorious if you have experience in software development, cloud architecture, service design, process mapping, benefit calculations, and service descriptions. If you also have experience in project management and business development, we consider that an advantage. Since the position involves regular contact with various teams, report writing, and handling technical information, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

As a person, you are strategic and creative with the ability to handle complex issues and translate needs, theories, and methods into practical technical solutions. In your work, you also leverage your business awareness. Your ability to have structure, take initiative, and clearly communicate with your project members will be crucial in this role, where you will work on multiple assignments simultaneously. The role involves many collaborative areas, and we therefore see that you have a natural talent for creating contacts and finding collaborations within our organization and the rest of the municipality.
