The mission of the Security Unit is to coordinate and support the municipality's work in areas such as information security, data protection, crisis preparedness, public health, as well as crime prevention and safety-enhancing work.

We are now looking for a temporary crime prevention coordinator for this exciting assignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of the crime prevention coordinator involves working to ensure that the municipality meets the requirements outlined in the law regarding municipalities' responsibility for crime prevention work. Ängelholm Municipality works broadly with these issues at a strategic level where a coherent thread in situational assessments, cause analyses, measures, and follow-up is required to ensure a knowledge-based approach.

The work also includes assisting the municipality's various operations and partners in implementing measures to reduce crime both in the short and long term.

Collaboration is a significant part of the role of the crime prevention coordinator. This applies both internally with functions such as Public Health Strategist, social services, schools, etc. But also externally, as the police are a close partner, as well as civil society and businesses. Collaboration also extends beyond the municipality's borders, as participation and cooperation with both the County Administrative Board and SKR is a continuous part of the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a university degree in criminology, behavioral science, or another education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Is analytical and has strategic thinking.
• Has excellent collaboration skills and enjoys building relationships.
• Is curious and driven to develop and improve working methods.
• Is self-sufficient and takes responsibility for driving processes forward.
• Expresses themselves very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Has a B driver's license, as travel is included in the position.

It is an advantage if you have experience working within municipal operations, primarily with safety-enhancing or crime prevention work, but also in other relevant functions. It is further advantageous if you have experience working with a social preventive focus and if you have education and/or experience working with violence prevention.
