JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to contribute to developing and strengthening the legal service throughout our municipality? We are now looking for a qualified case officer with legal competence and/or experience working in the public sector, with a particular focus on issues concerning municipal activities.

Together with the municipality's lawyer, you will be a central resource for the entire organization and provide qualified support to all departments in legal matters. The role involves close collaboration with the operations and is characterized by being a constructive sounding board, where you contribute with advice, analysis, and guidance in complex cases.

The tasks are varied and developmental and include, among other things:

  • Handling legal matters and investigations
  • Questions regarding transparency and confidentiality
  • A special responsibility for the municipality's data protection work
  • Responsibility for the municipality's insurance matters
  • Working to update and develop the municipality's governing documents and compilations of regulations in collaboration with the municipal lawyer

The position offers a broad and independent role where you have the opportunity to influence, develop work methods, and contribute to legally secure and well-functioning municipal processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree focused on public administration, law, social sciences, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. It is advantageous if you have experience with similar tasks and working within public administration, especially municipal activities. The role requires a good understanding of the Local Government Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, the Data Protection Regulation, and the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act. We also welcome applicants with equivalent competence acquired through several years of experience in qualified case handling within municipal operations, with good knowledge of relevant legislation.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. You are a team player who contributes to a good working climate and who appreciates working service-oriented towards the municipality's operations. We work based on the municipality's values - Better Together and therefore place great emphasis on building a good team together with all functions in the department.

You are meticulous, structured, and responsible, with the ability to plan and prioritize your work effectively. At the same time, you are calm, stable, and confident in your professional role, even when the pace of work is high or when complex issues need to be handled.

We see that you have a positive and solution-focused attitude, good collaboration skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships. You communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. Since the position involves producing and processing legal texts, investigations, and governing documents, it is important that you have a good ability to express yourself in writing in Swedish.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

The position is organized under the Management and Support department in the municipal management administration and reports to the deputy head of administration.

As part of the recruitment process, we may use tests.
