Our Workplace

The Southern Skåne unit consists of about 200 employees and covers 16 municipalities in Southern Skåne with staff in both Malmö and Ystad. The position involves travel within the area to work with both job seekers and employers.

Job Description

As an Employment Officer, you will focus on job seekers and employers, supporting them through matching, guidance, and information initiatives. You will identify competencies, barriers, and motivations to help people obtain or retain employment, often in collaboration with other actors and authorities. The work involves close cooperation with employers and may also include guidance, training initiatives, or development of job search strategies.

We are now looking for new colleagues to work as Employment Officers focusing on job seekers with significant support needs and employers who are open to hiring those who find it hardest to get a job on their own.

We are also looking for new colleagues to work as SIUS (Special Introduction and Follow-up Support), a program for job seekers with disabilities.

Your employment will begin with an introduction where you will be well-prepared for the upcoming tasks as a civil servant.

Our Offer

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The work location is Malmö.

Basic Requirements for the Position

  • University/higher education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the previous system)
  • Alternatively, you have been employed as an Employment Officer at the Employment Agency and are assessed to have good conditions to meet today's requirements for Employment Officers
  • At least 2 years of work experience, collectively working at least 50 percent over a total of 2 years
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, meaning a good ability to communicate in speech and writing, as well as high reading comprehension

Other Merits for the Position

  • Experience and knowledge of collaboration with employers or other actors, such as authorities and municipalities
  • Experience and knowledge of various types of work barriers (e.g., disabilities, addiction, and social legal issues)
  • Work experience in guidance and coaching
  • Work experience in interpreting and applying regulations
  • Driving license B
