Tomelilla Direct is the municipality's contact center and the gateway to various services. In addition to four municipal guides, there are coordinators and budget and debt advisors within the team. The contact center is part of the secretariat and communications department.
The workplace is located in the municipal building in central Tomelilla.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
One of our fantastic municipal guides is retiring, and we are now looking for her successor.
As a municipal guide, you are an important part of the municipality's shared service and are often the first contact that residents, businesses, and visitors have with us. Your work includes providing professional service, accurate information, and guidance via the municipal building's reception and phone. You ensure that matters are handled legally and efficiently.
The responsibilities of the municipal guides also include handling incoming mail, registration, and record-keeping, as well as administrative processing of certain authority matters, such as parking permits and estate matters.
Staffing the reception and phone, as well as actively working to develop the quality of the municipality's service, accessibility, and response, are part of all municipal guides' assignments. Other tasks are distributed within the group based on the needs of the operation, competence, and experience. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues within the municipality, as well as cooperation with others outside the organization.
The working hours are during office hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in public administration, administration, service, or other relevant education. It is an advantage if you have a university degree in public administration, political science, or similar. Knowledge of administrative law and public access and confidentiality legislation is considered an asset.
Since the job involves a lot of customer contact, we expect you to have documented experience in roles where meeting people has been central. A good attitude is a given for you, and you are passionate about providing excellent service both internally and externally.
You have well-developed digital skills and are used to working in various systems. It is advantageous if you have worked in public administration, preferably with processing and authority exercise. Experience with specific case management systems as well as telephony or contact centers is also positive. Furthermore, it is beneficial if you have previously worked with administrative, public access, and confidentiality legislation in practice.
As a person, you have good judgment and high integrity. You communicate pedagogically, collaborate easily, and are a good listener. You easily understand different situations and needs. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your tasks, and have a solution-oriented approach. You enjoy varied tasks and are not afraid to try new things. You thrive in an environment of trust and contribute to it yourself.
It is a requirement that you have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and that you can communicate in English. Knowledge of other languages and clear language is an advantage.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
