Case Officer
Do you want to work in a socially important and eventful organization, alongside knowledgeable and dedicated colleagues? Then this could be a job for you! As a case officer, you will have varied and developing tasks in an important societal role.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities include gathering supplementary information and statements from parties, planning and calling for meetings, taking minutes during meetings and inspections, monitoring deadlines, and issuing decisions. Your work will involve daily contact with parties, representatives, authorities, and other individuals seeking contact with the board. You will also handle mail and email, register new cases, and archive cases upon completion.
As a case officer, you will work closely with the board's lawyers (tenancy judges) to process various types of cases related to leases, rental apartments, and condominiums. You will ensure that the board's work is conducted impartially and efficiently. The tasks are independent, and you will perform them under your own responsibility.
The job involves travel to the board's other meeting locations in Skåne and Blekinge.
Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you should have relevant experience in administrative or case-handling work. You must have a completed high school education with a diploma/certificate. It is advantageous if you have worked with case management in courts or at a government agency. Post-secondary studies may also be beneficial.

During periods of high workload, your ability to prioritize and plan your work is especially important.
You are an experienced computer user and see computers, email, and phones as natural tools for work. Furthermore, you express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
We place great importance on having good references from current and/or previous employers as well as your personal qualities.
Who are we
The Rent and Lease Boards are government agencies with court-like functions within the Swedish Courts. The Rent and Lease Boards adjudicate certain rental and condominium disputes between tenants and landlords, as well as between condominium owners and condominium associations, and mediate in other such disputes. The Lease Boards have similar responsibilities in lease disputes.
The board in Malmö has four units that handle all types of cases but with some geographical division. The Rent and Lease Board in Malmö currently has 14 employees and is located in new and modern premises in the Court House, centrally located in Malmö near the central station.

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period, starting on September 1, 2026.
