Bjuv municipality is now looking for a driven and structured cultural coordinator who wants to make a difference in our residents' everyday lives. Here you get the chance to shape your own role and make a real impact for the residents!

Here you will be part of an engaged team that is passionate about making culture accessible to everyone in Bjuv municipality. Organizationally, you belong to the library operations, which consists of ten people, and you will be part of a positive group that is development-oriented, curious, and professional.

The position is 100%, of which 50% is permanent and 50% is a project employment until December 31, 2026. There is a possibility of extending the project from January 1 to December 31, 2027.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

About the role

As a cultural coordinator in Bjuv municipality, you are the spider in the web for our local cultural life. You work strategically and operationally to enable, develop, and spread culture for all ages. You see collaboration opportunities and enjoy working with both associations and cultural actors.

You act as a link between the municipality, the local association life, independent cultural practitioners, and other regional actors. You participate in the planning and implementation of cultural events, exhibitions, and projects. You promote the municipality's cultural offerings via social media, the web, and in physical environments. You will be responsible for and develop the work with a cultural guarantee for children and youth aged 0-16 years, the work with Creative School, and ensure a broad cultural offering for all ages.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with an academic education in the cultural sector (e.g., cultural analysis, project management, or equivalent) and experience in driving and administering cultural projects, preferably in the public sector.

As a person, you can manage multiple projects simultaneously without losing focus on the details. You see opportunities where others see obstacles and dare to try new formats. You love meeting people and find it easy to create and maintain relationships, both internally and externally.

We require that you have:

• An academic degree in cultural science or another area that we assess as equivalent.
• Work experience in cultural production, project work, program planning, and cultural administration.
• Solid administrative skills and good familiarity with digital tools (Excel, Teams, publishing systems, etc.).
• A valid driver's license (B).

It is an advantage if you have previously worked in a politically governed organization and have experience in marketing and social media.

OTHER

When working within the Culture and Leisure Administration, you will need to submit a criminal record extract.
