About the school

Turebergsskolan is a centrally located school near Sollentuna center. Currently, around 230 students are enrolled in grades F-9. We are the small school with big opportunities! The school has a dedicated and competent staff group. Turebergsskolan is a multicultural school with good academic results. There is a very positive spirit and a strong culture of sharing at the school.

Turebergsskolan has a well-functioning values-based work and an active effort to create an accessible school for every student attending. The school has a well-developed student health work, and the processes are also supported by lead teachers and special educational staff.

Job Responsibilities

Are you a special teacher, special educator, or a skilled Swedish/SVA teacher driven to make a difference for each individual student? Are you a team player who wants to work together with school management, teaching teams, and the various professions in student health? Are you skilled at building good relationships and enjoy being the spider in the web? Are you interested in leading studio activities for grades 6-9 in close collaboration with skilled colleagues? Then this project position at Turebergsskolan might be for you.

To succeed in meeting all our students' needs, we have designed various learning environments where the studio for grades 6-9 is an important part. This is where we need you and your expertise!

Your mission is to work with colleagues to run the studio activities and offer students who wish/need a smaller context a quality education. You will be part of the school's student health team and participate in preventive and health-promoting work. You contribute to safe and developing learning environments and a health-promoting and preventive approach to give students better conditions to achieve educational goals. You will do this by analyzing your students' development opportunities in different learning environments, providing special educational support measures, and teaching individually and in groups. You are skilled at establishing and maintaining contacts with external actors regarding families, child and adolescent psychiatry, etc., for better collaboration.

Qualifications

We prefer that you are a trained special teacher, special educator, and/or a skilled Swedish/SVA teacher. You have good knowledge of meeting children's various needs, possess good organizational skills, and are familiar with digital teaching materials/accommodative aids. You have qualifications focused on language, writing, and reading development - preferably in combination with other subjects. You work with a positive attitude and have the ability to create a good working climate among both students and colleagues. You are experienced in conducting pedagogical investigations, establishing action plans, and working with individually adapted support for students and collaborating with guardians. Other important abilities include enjoying challenges and being responsive to changes. We are looking for someone with strong commitment and interest in creating the best conditions for our students together with the educators. We also prefer that you have experience with similar job responsibilities.

You are a clear leader and have structure and good pedagogical skills in teaching. As a special teacher, you have good knowledge of adapting teaching according to each student's unique conditions and see school development as a natural part of your mission.

You have a positive basic attitude and thus the ability to show students and colleagues possibilities and solutions. We also appreciate your ability to create and maintain good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You should also enjoy working in a team with fantastic colleagues and wonderful students.

The position is a project employment at 100% and extends until June 2026 thanks to external funding from SPSM, with the hope of continuing into the next school year.
