We are looking for a responsive, loving, and empathetic personal assistant for a boy living with a progressive illness and extensive care needs. As an assistant, you will be an important part of his daily life and provide him support in his everyday activities. It is important that you are comfortable working closely and that you work from the heart.

You will never work alone but are always double-staffed.

For our client's health, it is important that you who apply are not in contact with small children, as he is extremely sensitive to infections.

Responsibilities:

• Support the boy in his daily activities and routines.

• Assist with transfers as he is wheelchair-bound.

• Provide care that may include help with medical equipment.

• Be responsive to his needs and adjust your work according to his daily condition.

• Contribute to a meaningful everyday life by being a present and caring support person.

Qualifications:

• Empathy, humility, and a genuine interest in helping others.

• Ability to handle medical equipment and learn new routines.

• Experience working in care or a medical background is a plus.

The position involves close and personal collaboration with the boy and his family, and you along with your colleagues will play an important role in his life.

About the role

As an assistant, you will support all aspects of daily life. You are our client's arms and legs, but equally important to be their voice, which means you must be able to write and speak Swedish fluently as we document the client's daily life. Your presence will be an important part of our client's security and joy in everyday life. You will always work together with another colleague.

Who are you

We are looking for someone with a big heart and a calm, empathetic demeanor. You are responsive, can take initiative, and enjoy creating a pleasant atmosphere at home. You are smoke-free! Personal chemistry is important, so we are looking for someone who is positive, patient, and looks forward to becoming a significant part of our client's life.

Experience in personal assistance or similar work is a plus, but the most important thing is that you are engaged and confident in your role.

Employment type: hourly or part-time, weekdays and every other weekend.

Salary: The hourly wage is fixed according to agreement, and other compensations are made according to collective agreements.

Start date: As soon as possible according to agreement, lasting as long as the assistance assignment lasts.
