At the adapted school, we work for a safe and inspiring environment where students thrive and want to learn. Teaching is adapted to each student's circumstances to strengthen their learning and confidence in their own abilities. The education provides important knowledge and values, promotes personal development and social community, and prepares students for active participation in society.

We are now looking for five teachers for the adapted school with special education training focused on subjects and intellectual disabilities. The positions are located at the adapted school at Solängsskolan (grades 1-3) and Stora Sätraskolan (grades 7-9). These are full-time positions starting in the autumn term of 2026 on August 12. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you interested in creating a positive and supportive learning environment for students? Great! Do you want to contribute to an inclusive and developing future for them? Then you could be the special teacher we are looking for. Your responsibilities include mentorship, and together with your colleagues, you will help create a school where everyone feels safe and seen as students, guardians, and staff. In teaching, you collaborate with other resources such as preschool teachers, leisure teachers, and student assistants. You contribute to designing a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. The work is also carried out in collaboration with student health, guardians, and other actors outside the school.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Being responsible for planning and teaching, assessment in adapted primary school focused on subjects.
• Being responsible for mapping, implementation, and evaluation of the activities according to decided goals and guidelines.
• With your expertise, challenging and supporting students so that they achieve good study results and adapting your teaching based on all students' needs and circumstances.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a teaching license for grades 1-3 or 4-6 and further education as a special teacher focused on intellectual disabilities and subjects.
• Has good knowledge of working with digital tools such as documentation in Unikum or Office and is used to using a computer/tablet as a pedagogical tool.
• Is well acquainted with, and knowledgeable about, the curriculum for adapted schools.
• Has the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have experience working in adapted schools and have worked with the following areas: intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, neuropsychiatric disabilities, Rh, vision, and hearing. Previous experience with AAC, sign language, and low-arousal approaches is also meritorious for the position.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• A genuine interest in working with students with different needs and abilities. You see opportunities to create functioning solutions for each student's needs and are good at continuously evaluating and improving teaching methods and student progress.
• A talent for leading and motivating students and making them feel comfortable and well. You have a good ability to create trusting relationships and help students feel safe, included, and a sense of belonging.
• A clear leadership in the classroom, being factual and structured, and working towards good relationships with both students and guardians.
• Good collaboration with others and adapting to different situations and being able to change your perspective and approach. As a person, you have the ability to spread calm and stability.

You as the final candidate must be able to present a criminal record from the police for work in schools or preschools. This should not be attached to your application.
