Development Center in Ljusdal is a meeting place and study environment for adult learning that is open to everyone.

The Development Center strives to offer a wide range of options to promote studies in the local area. At UC, we offer Komvux as adapted education, Sfi, courses at basic and upper secondary levels, healthcare and nursing education, and restaurant education. We also have a Learning Center where university students can study, take exams, and participate in lectures from colleges and universities. Komvux in Ljusdal continuously works to develop a learning environment that is accessible and individualized to best support students in achieving their goals.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an engaged special educator for Komvux who will work 50% as a teaching teacher in adapted education and 50% providing support to other Komvux. In this role, you will collaborate closely with management, teachers, and other support functions to develop and implement support tracks and methods that complement the teaching. Together, we create a learning environment where each student has optimal conditions to reach their goals. An important part of the assignment is also to, in collaboration with teachers in adapted education, develop Komvux as adapted education to further strengthen the accessibility and quality of education.

Your main responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct teaching within Komvux as adapted education
• Plan and implement special educational interventions both individually and in groups
• Develop and improve support tracks and methods in collaboration with the school's various actors
• Be a resource and sounding board for teaching teachers in special educational matters
• Map and analyze students' needs to ensure the right support
• Participate in working groups and planning around study arrangements
• Together with teachers in adapted education, develop Komvux as adapted education

Qualifications

Teaching degree

Special educator degree with a focus on intellectual disabilities or similar special educational training

Experience in adult education

Knowledge of and experience in working with adaptations and pedagogical support measures

Good communicator and collaborates well with different professional groups

Proactive, structured, and sees opportunities to develop support measures
