The preschools and schools in Sandviken Municipality are governed by both national and municipal goals. Each unit follows up and evaluates its operations, conducts a result analysis, and formulates development measures. It is of utmost importance that everyone in the organization sees and takes responsibility for the common mission to achieve a quality education system, where children and students, regardless of background, can develop as far as possible. Jernvall School F-6 is located in southern Sandviken, next to Arena Jernvallen and Göransson Arena where the school conducts its sports activities. The school is close to Storsjö and utilizes that proximity in its teaching.

For HT26, we are now looking for:

• 2 leisure teachers for F-3
• 1 leisure teacher for 4-6

The number of positions may change based on organizational conditions at the start of the term.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a leisure teacher, you are responsible for the operations in the leisure center, including planning and implementing teaching. The position also includes work in class during the school day based on needs and your subject competence. You are part of a work team together with teachers and preschool teachers.

You contribute by:

• Planning and leading activities that promote students' learning and social development
• Creating a safe and inclusive environment in the leisure center
• Collaborating closely with colleagues to achieve common goals
• Participating in the school's development work

• Sharing knowledge and experiences within the work team
• Supporting each other in change processes
• Having open and respectful collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you need to enjoy a varied workday where you switch between teaching and leisure activities. This requires that you are confident and stable even when the pace is high and that you maintain focus on what is important. Collaboration is central, as is the ability to communicate in a responsive way and build good relationships. With pedagogical insight, you adapt teaching to different needs and work systematically to create safety and continuity in everyday life.

For the assignment, the following is required:

• Leisure teacher degree with teaching certification
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good knowledge of the governing documents of primary school

Experience with digital tools and good IT skills are advantageous.
