In Sandviken's municipal primary schools, we work in a culture where cooperation and systematic quality work go hand in hand. Digital development has long been a natural part of our operations, and each student has access to their own computer as support in their education. Gullhedskolan is a F-6 school with an after-school program and currently has just over 230 students. The school is located in the center of Järbo and is close to the library, forest, football field, and ice rink. The school focuses on the importance of movement and has a nice schoolyard that encourages and invites movement. There are several different types of obstacle courses and planned recess activities led by the school's educators.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of textile crafts and home economics teacher involves planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in a practical and creative learning environment. The work includes guiding students in process-oriented learning, creating clear structures, and ensuring a safe environment. You will work with sustainability, aesthetic expressions, and everyday skills that provide students with tools for the future.

You contribute by:

• Starting from students' different conditions and supporting their development in theory and practice
• Creating clarity, focus, and good routines in practical learning environments
• Being a stable and accessible role model who guides students in their processes
• Promoting an inclusive culture where everyone has the opportunity to succeed
• Collaborating in the work team to develop teaching and contribute to the whole

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, you need to have good pedagogical insight and understand how students absorb knowledge in different ways. You find it easy to build trusting relationships and contribute to a safe and accessible learning environment. Sensitivity and the ability to collaborate are important qualities in collegial work, where teaching is developed together. A structured approach facilitates planning and follow-up, while flexibility allows you to manage changing needs and see opportunities in new situations. An inclusive approach permeates your work and creates good conditions for all students.

For the assignment, the following is required:

• Teaching certification with qualifications for teaching textile crafts and home economics
• Good knowledge of the primary school's governing documents
• Good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written

Good IT skills and experience using digital tools are meritorious.
