In Sandviken's municipal primary schools, we work in a culture where collaboration and systematic quality work go hand in hand. Digital development has long been a natural part of our operations, and each student has access to their own computer to support their education. Hedängskolan grades 6-9 is a school with about 260 students and about 35 staff members. The school is located in Storvik with good transportation options by bus/train. In the school's vicinity, there are nature areas, ski trails, an ice rink, swimming, sports fields, and a newly built sports hall that is used in the operations. There is also a F-5 school on the school grounds with which we have a good collaboration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher with us, you will work with planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching in grades 6-9. In this collective advertisement, we are looking for teachers in several subject areas. Here is a brief description of what the assignment entails in each role:

As a mathematics teacher, you will work on developing students' problem-solving abilities and mathematical understanding. You create teaching that is based on structure, clarity, and varied working methods to meet different levels of knowledge.

In the role of science teacher, you will teach biology, physics, and/or chemistry. You will spark students' curiosity about scientific phenomena and help them develop both theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory work in a safe and secure manner.

As a crafts teacher, you will lead practical, creative, and problem-solving work where students can develop their skills in materials, technology, and design. You are responsible for a safe working environment in the craft room and inspire students to try, explore, and create.

In the technology subject, you will guide students in understanding and analyzing technical solutions in everyday life. You will work with construction projects, technology development processes, and digital tools to strengthen students' ability to think innovatively and systematically.

As a teacher in home and consumer studies, you will teach practical and theoretical aspects of cooking, health, personal finance, and sustainable consumption. You will work to provide students with important tools to make conscious choices in everyday life.

As a physical education and health teacher, you will lead instruction that develops students' motor skills, joy of movement, and knowledge of physical activity and well-being. You create a safe and inclusive environment where all students can participate, be challenged, and succeed on their own terms.

You contribute by:

• Creating teaching that is based on students' needs and conditions
• Being a clear leader and role model in the classroom
• Building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians
• Actively participating in the school's development work within digitalization, values, and language development

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, good pedagogical insight and the ability to understand how students absorb knowledge in different ways are needed. A structured approach makes it easier to plan and follow up on teaching, while a curious and development-oriented attitude contributes to the school's shared learning. Collaboration is a natural part of everyday life, where you, together with colleagues, create an open climate for development.

The following is required for the assignment:

• Teaching certification with relevant qualifications
• Good knowledge of the primary school's governing documents
• Good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written

Good digital competence and experience in using digital tools are meritorious.
