In Sandviken's municipal primary schools, we work in a culture where collaboration and systematic quality work go hand in hand. Norrsätraskolan 7–9 is located in the western district of Norrsätra, near forests and recreational areas. Approximately 330 students attend the school, and about 45 dedicated employees work here. The school area also includes a 4–6 school and a special needs school. Here, we make each other better and work together to create a safe and developing learning environment for all students.

We are now looking for qualified teachers in:

• Wood and metal crafts
• Mathematics/Physics/Technology
• Mathematics/Biology/Chemistry
• Swedish/Social Studies
• Special Education Teacher in Swedish
• Special Education Group
• French 60% (combined with another subject for full-time)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher with us, you will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in grades 7-9. In this collective advertisement, we are looking for several roles, and here is a brief description of what the assignment entails in each subject area.

As a crafts teacher in wood and metal, you lead creative and practical work processes where students explore materials, techniques, and design. You are responsible for a safe and secure working environment and encourage students' ability to try, create, and develop their ideas.

As a teacher in mathematics and physics/technology, you work to strengthen students' mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and understanding of technical and scientific connections. Teaching alternates between theory, laboratory work, and practical exercises.

As a teacher in mathematics and biology/chemistry, you create teaching that sparks curiosity for science and strengthens students' ability to analyze and understand connections in both mathematics and science subjects. Practical moments and safe laboratory work are an important part of the assignment.

As a teacher in Swedish and social studies, you work on language development and help students develop their ability to read, reason, express themselves, and analyze their surroundings. This work contributes to strengthening students' communicative and reflective abilities.

As a special education teacher in Swedish, you provide targeted support in language, reading, and writing development. The assignment involves close collaboration with teaching staff and student health to find methods that create good conditions for students' learning.

In a special education group, you work with smaller student groups where structure, clarity, and relationship building are central. You create a safe learning environment and adapt teaching to each student's needs.

As a French teacher, you develop students' communicative abilities through varied methods that spark interest in language, culture, and the world.

You contribute by:

• Creating teaching based on students' needs
• Being a clear leader and role model in the classroom
• Building good relationships with students and guardians
• Actively working with digitalization, values, and language development
• Structurally following up and developing teaching

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you need to have good pedagogical insight and understand how students absorb knowledge in different ways. You adapt teaching based on individual needs and create conditions for learning. A structured approach helps you plan and follow up on teaching in a clear and effective manner.

Collaboration is a natural part of everyday life. You work attentively with colleagues, share experiences, and contribute to an open climate where teaching develops collectively. In a changing school environment, it is also important to be able to embrace new ideas and methods and to see the opportunities in them. By being development-oriented, you contribute to the school's collective learning.

For the assignment, the following is required:

• Teaching certification with relevant qualifications
• Good knowledge of the primary school's governing documents
• Good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written

Good digital competence and experience using digital tools are meritorious.
