JOB DESCRIPTION

As a leisure teacher, you are responsible for the activities in the leisure center, including planning and implementing teaching. The position also includes working in the classroom during the school day based on needs and your subject competence. We are now looking for leisure teachers for several schools within the Central primary school area; below is a brief description of the different schools:

• Västanbyn School is a K-3 school with about 170 students. The school is located on the northern outskirts of Sandviken and has close proximity to the natural area of Högbo bruk. The school is characterized by strong safety work and knowledgeable, engaged staff.
• Kungsgården School is a K-5 school with about 150 students and is located 8 km west of Sandviken. The school is close to nature with walking distance to Storsjön, which is utilized both in teaching and for outdoor activities.
• Årsunda School is a K-6 school 15 km south of Sandviken. The school has been newly renovated both inside and out, is beautifully situated by Storsjön, and has proximity to nature, which is utilized in teaching. The school has about 125 students.
• Österfärnebo School is a K-6 school located 42 km south of Sandviken and is the municipality's southernmost school. About 70 students attend the school, which is a small and safe school in the countryside. The local library is located within the school's premises, with a librarian. The school's area includes Tallhallen, which is frequently used for not only sports lessons but also for joint gatherings and activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you need to enjoy a varied workday where you alternate between teaching and leisure activities. This requires you to be secure and stable even when the pace is high and to maintain focus on what is important. Collaboration is central, as is the ability to communicate in a responsive manner and build good relationships. With pedagogical insight, you adapt teaching to different needs and work systematically to create safety and continuity in everyday life.

For the role, the following is required:

• Leisure teacher degree with teaching certification
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good knowledge of the primary school's governing documents

Experience with digital tools and good IT skills are advantageous.
