The Child and Education Administration in Bollnäs Municipality is responsible for preschool, preschool class, after-school care, primary school, and adapted primary school. Currently, we are responsible for a total of 16 municipal preschools and 9 primary schools.

Are you a person driven by supporting students? Are you a flexible and creative career and guidance counselor who is used to taking great responsibility and enjoys collaborating? Great! Come and help shape the future for the children of Bollnäs with us.

The position is a permanent full-time employment. Start date is to be agreed upon. Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis.

As a career and guidance counselor, you will be part of Bollnäs Municipality's comprehensive student health team. The student health team works preventively and implements measures that benefit all children's health. This includes, in addition to career and guidance counselors, school nurses and school doctors, psychologists, social workers, as well as special educators and school nurses.

Responsibilities

As a career and guidance counselor with us in Bollnäs Municipality, your primary task is to provide information about education and work and support students in finding their personal qualities and goals. You will work closely with other functions at the school to create the best possible conditions for the students.

Your most important tool is the personal conversation, and the position requires you to stay updated on changes in the labor market, education, and society. You should be able to guide both in groups and individually.

Your responsibilities include contacts with both internal and external stakeholders as part of developing collaboration between school, education, and the labor market. You are also an important part of the school's student health team.

You will work individually at the school but also in a team with career and guidance counselors who meet regularly.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with education suited for the role of career and guidance counselor. You are experienced in guiding people in various contexts and have a desire and willingness to support young people. Experience in the profession is an advantage.

As a person, you are flexible and can adapt to different situations. You are a good and relationship-building communicator who can work independently but also sees it as a given to collaborate and work together in a team.

Furthermore, you are creative and see opportunities instead of obstacles and can contribute new solutions. You have the ability to motivate and inspire others so that they develop and feel good. You are skilled at creating an open dialogue and adapting your actions based on the situation.

Finally, we believe it is important that you are aware of the significance of the career and guidance counselor's work and want to drive and develop this at the school. You have a holistic view and can identify needs for improvements in the operations that positively affect the students' health, development, and goal fulfillment.
