About the workplace
At the Knowledge Office, about thirty employees work with expertise in student health, finance, HR, administration, and IT. The new operational area includes upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, led by a principal, as well as administrative support with a unit of six employees working with operational development and regulatory compliance.

Job responsibilities
As the operations manager for the upper secondary school and the adapted upper secondary school as well as administrative support, you will:
- Be responsible for strategic and operational management and development within the operational area
- Support the principal in systematic quality work, follow-up, and analysis
- Ensure that the operations comply with the Education Act, curriculum, and municipal goals
- Lead and coordinate the assignments of the operational developers in the administration
- Ensure legally secure handling of the administration's regulatory compliance
- Coordinate the principal's systematic quality work at the administrative level
- Coordinate the administration's assignments within Sandviken municipality's Governance and Management, which includes, for example, committee plans and performance reporting, and be responsible for cohesive strategic governance and follow-up.
In the role, you are expected to:
- Contribute to a cohesive and development-oriented administration
- Ensure that decisions and actions are based on a holistic perspective and common goals
- Create structures that promote collaboration, dialogue, and learning between school forms and support functions
Qualifications
To succeed in the role, we believe that you are an experienced, development-oriented, and structured leader who has experience working with change processes in complex contexts. You have good collaboration skills and a flexible approach based on trust in your employees. Furthermore, you have a good ability to see the big picture and drive strategic development issues.
You have:
- Relevant academic education
- Experience in strategic leadership within a politically governed organization
- Managerial experience
Meritorious
- Experience leading in a matrix organization or with shared responsibility
- Experience being a manager of managers.
- Experience in law, committee work, and quality follow-up.
- Knowledge of education legislation and the principal's responsibilities
- Academic leadership development
We are looking for someone who is relationship-building, communicative, and enjoys a varied role with many points of contact and areas of collaboration.
We are recruiting in parallel with this process for a corresponding position for preschools. We see nothing negative in applying for both positions. Within Sandviken municipality, temporary managerial appointments are applied with permanent employment as the basis.
