Murgårdsskolan is centrally located in Sandviken and is close to most amenities, including nature. Within the school grounds, there are sports halls, craft classrooms, and home economics classrooms. Göransson Arena, Arena Jernvallen, and Parkbadet are within walking distance. The school has many different nationalities represented.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a leisure teacher/substitute, you will combine work at the leisure center with assignments as a substitute teacher in the school. You will replace regular teachers during their absence, which means that the tasks may vary from day to day within the school's various activities. Afternoons are allocated to the leisure center.

You contribute by:

• Creating a safe and learning environment for the students
• Adapting teaching based on each student's needs and prerequisites
• Collaborating and communicating well with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Using digital tools in a pedagogical way

• Sharing knowledge and experiences within the team
• Supporting each other in everyday life and during new challenges
• Having an open climate where ideas and initiatives are encouraged

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you need to enjoy a varied workday where you switch between teaching and leisure activities. This requires you to be secure and stable even when the pace is high and to maintain focus on what is important. Collaboration is central, as is the ability to communicate in a responsive manner and create good relationships. With pedagogical insight, you adapt teaching to different needs and work in a structured way to create safety and continuity in everyday life.

For the assignment, the following is required:

• Leisure teacher degree with teaching certification
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good knowledge of the primary school's governing documents

Experience with digital tools and good IT skills are advantageous.
