At Sofiedalskolan, we work to ensure that all students feel safe and that all children are everyone's responsibility. Our school serves students from preschool class to grade 9. The school is located within the Sofiedal principal area in Valbo, close to sports centers and outdoor activities, characterized by a pleasant atmosphere, engagement, and progressiveness. Good public transport connections are available to both Gävle and Sandviken.

We are now looking for a committed teacher in physical education and health in combination with teaching in other subjects who wants to help create a safe, varied, and developing school day for our students.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher in physical education and health for grades 4-6, you will work with teaching, have class responsibility, and be responsible for mapping, planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. The work is carried out according to set goals and guidelines. Your tasks also include mentoring and collaborating with your colleagues to design a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus.

Your tasks include:

• Teaching in grades 4-6 according to the current curriculum in physical education and health and in combination with another subject based on qualifications.
• Class responsibility and mentoring.
• Mapping, planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching.
• You challenge and support students to achieve good academic results and adapt your teaching based on all students' needs and conditions.
• You collaborate with other teachers, guardians, and the school's student health services.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A teaching degree and teaching certification with qualifications to teach in grades 4-6 in physical education and health in combination with qualifications in another subject.
• Good knowledge of the primary school curriculum.
• Experience working with digital tools, such as documentation in Unikum or Office 365.
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing.
• It is advantageous for the position if you have qualifications in additional subjects, including MA/NO and SO.

• Good at planning and organizing: You find it easy to set goals, organize resources, and follow up and complete activities.

As a final candidate, you must be able to present a criminal record check from the police for work in schools or preschools. This should not be attached to your application.
