Björksätraskolan – A School for Everyone!

Björksätraskolan is a multicultural F-9 school in the Björksätra district of Sandviken. You can easily reach us by public transport. We are close to forests and nature that we can use in our teaching. Near the school, there are also several sports facilities that are frequently used. During the school year 2025/2026, we have about 300 students in grades F-6. The school management consists of a principal and two assistant principals for grades F-6. We are proud to have an inspiring collegial environment with several lead teachers in various subject areas. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a F-3 teacher for a position in preschool class.

The work in preschool class lays the foundation for students' continued schooling and development. With us, you will come to a collaborative context with a strong team spirit, which is important for bridging between preschool, preschool class, and primary school. We work specifically with phonological awareness through the Bornholm model, which means that you as an employee are offered further training, so that you feel secure and that this becomes a natural part of your working method. Learning through play, such as mathematical thinking, is an important part of our mission. We also work on developing our students' abilities in play and interaction.

As an employee in the preschool class with us, you will be responsible for teaching our preschool class students during their mandatory school hours and will work during after-school care in the afternoons.

We are looking for someone who:

• is calm, stable, and controlled in stressful or pressured situations.

• has a good understanding of how students absorb knowledge and have different prerequisites. Good ability to adapt your teaching based on students' knowledge levels.
• sees the whole and takes into account the larger perspective. Understands your role but considers the best interests of the entire operation in actions and decisions.

The work involves a 40-hour work week.

QUALIFICATIONS

F-3 teacher degree with teaching certification.

Meritorious:

• Experience working in preschool class and the early years of primary school.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and your experience.
