Cultural Preschool Flying Dragon is centrally located in Sandviken and is part of the cultural center where the library, art hall, Trampolin, and Cultural School are also located. The preschool consists of 7 departments for children aged 1-5 years, including 1 specially adapted department with 8 children aged 3-5 years and an adapted department with 15 older children aged 3-5 years. We work thematically with aesthetic learning processes as a basis for learning and development according to the preschool curriculum. Here, we are curious preschool teachers, childcare workers, and teachers who, together with a drama pedagogue, challenge the children in their learning. Together with the children, we create a creative, imaginative, and dynamic teaching environment that stimulates lifelong learning. In our spacious premises, we have good conditions for play, creation, dance, music, and drama. This allows us to offer a stimulating employment opportunity in a dynamic environment!

The preschool has organized conditions for reflection, collegial exchange, and pedagogical development time.

We have access to pedagogical guidance and deepening from a special educator and quality coordinator. We also have access to family advisors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A little better every day!

The position will be in the specially adapted department with 8 children aged 3-5 years.

In daily work, pedagogical documentation and reflection are a natural part, to systematically ensure the quality of the operation. In your work at the preschool, you will implement the intentions of the curriculum, which will be evident in your teaching with the children. You will start from the children's interests, curiosity, and initiatives and translate that into goal-oriented processes where the children's learning is the focus.

The children's influence and participation play a central role in the work, which means that you, together with the children and colleagues, reflect on and analyze learning processes, working methods, and the educators' approaches. In your approach, you dare to try new methods and tools together with children and colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Do these positions sound interesting? We are looking for someone who:

• has a degree in preschool education and is a licensed preschool teacher.
• has a reflective approach and can further develop education together with other staff.
• has a positive attitude in meeting people and shows great commitment.
• has knowledge of preschool governing documents and pedagogical documentation.
• has IT competence and uses the computer as a pedagogical tool in daily work.

We expect you to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. As we want several employees with language and cultural competence, we welcome applicants from all ethnic backgrounds.

It is also advantageous if you have experience in:

• Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)
• Multilingualism and Systematic Quality Work

Great importance will be placed on abilities such as: building trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues, where clear structure, clarity, and predictability are the focus.

You should be able to adapt the environment and activities according to individual needs to promote development, independence, and well-being among the children.

In work on a specially adapted department, working independently with 12 children is something that occurs daily. Therefore, you should be able to work independently. You need to be secure and clear in your leadership role.

You should have experience and familiarity with writing an action plan.

You should have good experience with AAC.
