Your Responsibilities

We are now looking for engaged substitute teachers for a pool at a secondary school in Gävle. As part of the substitute pool, you will be called in as needed – for example, in case of illness or absence – and in most cases, there is ready-made planning to follow, which gives you a secure start and clear frameworks to work within. The needs vary in both content and duration – sometimes it involves individual days, sometimes longer periods.

The role is flexible and suits both those who are at the beginning of their careers and those seeking new experiences within the school world. You will also have the opportunity to broaden your network, develop professionally, and gain valuable experience.

Your Profile

We welcome applicants from various backgrounds but place great emphasis on your personal qualities. We are looking for someone who may be studying to become a teacher or who has previous pedagogical work experience. We would like you to have good experience in making extra adaptations and experience in adapting teaching for students with special needs. You are a calm and secure presence for the students and a natural role model who signals stability and commitment. Additionally, you are a team player who collaborates well with both colleagues and students – together we create a safe, inspiring, and developing school environment.

You are curious, structured, and solution-focused, with the ability to meet people from different backgrounds and circumstances. You have the student's best interests in mind, can motivate and inspire, and find it easy to create meaningful and comprehensible contexts in the classroom.
