Nordanstig Municipality consists of several school locations with a total of about 900 students, with a common middle school in Bergsjö.

Bergsjö School is a K-9 school with about 500 students. The adapted primary school 1-10 also operates in the same facilities.

Together, we work towards higher goal fulfillment and a more equitable school. The Swedish National Agency for Education, Umeå University, SPSM, Mid Sweden University, and RUC-X are some of the partners we collaborate with to achieve this.

We strive for equity and the same conditions between schools, as all students meet in the municipality's middle school. We work for good transitions and a reflective environment where everyone has the opportunity to develop and achieve good results.

About the job

If you choose to join us, you will be part of a team with several teachers who teach the same classes as you. You will also be part of a subject team where you plan together and exchange ideas and thoughts.

The daily work includes all tasks that are part of a teacher's assignment. Individually and together with your colleagues, you will plan, implement, evaluate, and ensure high-quality teaching that creates context and challenges students at the right level. You will, together with the school's staff, contribute to collegial learning. Teaching will take place in grades 6-9.

Personal qualities

As a person, you have good leadership skills, an understanding of people's different abilities to absorb knowledge, and can adapt your teaching accordingly. You involve students in the planning and can visualize and further develop their learning processes. You reflect on your work in a systematic way, both individually and together with your colleagues, and are committed to creating a safe learning environment with study peace, trust, and respect.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Nordanstig Municipality is located in northern Hälsingland near Sweden's midpoint between Hudiksvall and Sundsvall. The municipality stretches from the coast with sandy beaches and scenic islands to the inland's large forests with a sense of wilderness and opportunities for both fishing and alpine skiing.
