At Staffan adapted primary school, students with intellectual disabilities who are assessed not to meet the knowledge requirements of primary school are enrolled. Here, students receive teaching and education tailored to their needs and conditions. The education in adapted primary school provides students with important knowledge and values, contributes to personal development and social community, and creates a solid foundation for active participation in society. Staffan adapted primary school is located in the same building as Staffansskolan in Brynäs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Together with colleagues in the work team, you as a preschool teacher will have primary responsibility for the education in after-school care, but you will also support the mentor in the class. The work includes planning, implementation, documentation, follow-up, and evaluation of the activities according to set goals and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• has a degree from the preschool teacher program and preschool teacher certification with authorization to teach in preschool and preschool class or is currently enrolled in the preschool teacher program with graduation in January 2026.
• is familiar with and has knowledge of the curriculum for adapted schools.
• has knowledge of and experience with digital tools.
• has a good ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
• has experience with children with NPF (neuropsychiatric disabilities) and IF (intellectual disabilities).

We also appreciate if you:

• have experience with AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) and experience with TAKK (Signs as Alternative and Augmentative Communication)
• have experience and knowledge of working in a low-arousal manner

As a final candidate, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record. However, this should not be sent to us.

We will conduct interviews as a first step, which will take place on February 4th and the morning of February 5th.

You must be able to present a criminal record from the police for work in schools or preschools.
