JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an engaged high school teacher in Swedish for Adult Education within Ockelbo Municipality. Together with your team, you will meet each student based on their needs and circumstances.

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching in close collaboration with your colleagues.

Main job responsibilities include:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching
• Teaching Swedish at the high school level
• Creating and developing a good learning environment based on the curriculum and governing documents

The employment is a temporary position running until June 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone interested in working with adult students at the high school level. We primarily seek a certified teacher in Swedish but consider it an advantage if you also have certification in Swedish as a second language or experience teaching second language students. The work requires flexibility, and we place great emphasis on individualized instruction.

To succeed in this role, you have a professional approach and work towards good relationships with students and colleagues. You are an engaged educator who is passionate about your subjects and has the ability to capture and stimulate students' curiosity, interest, and learning. Working with language and knowledge development, as well as formative assessment, is a natural part of your teaching. You take responsibility for your students' results and place great importance on adapting your teaching according to your students' different circumstances and needs.
