At Staffan Adapted Primary School, students with intellectual disabilities who are assessed not to meet the knowledge requirements of primary school attend. Here, students receive teaching and education tailored to their needs and conditions. The education in adapted primary school provides students with important knowledge and values, contributes to personal development and social community, and creates a good foundation for active participation in society. Staffan Adapted Primary School is located in the same building as Staffansskolan in Brynäs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With your competence, you challenge and support the students so that they reach as far as possible. The role of a teaching assistant varies depending on the students' situation and the school's needs. The basic task is to create good relationships with the students and work with them both individually and at the group level. The work takes place in classrooms, individual support, and group support. A large part of the daily work is to support and help students in all everyday situations during their school day and leisure time. The work also involves functioning as a complementary adult support at the school and working for the students' well-being and safety. You work together with class and leisure teams. You create good relationships with guardians and other school staff. Together, you design a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

  • has completed high school
  • has the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
  • has experience working in adapted primary schools or similar activities such as housing, short-term supervision, daily activities with individuals within the LSS group.
  • has knowledge of and experience with digital tools.
  • has previous experience working with the target group of neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF).
  • has previous experience working with the target group of intellectual disabilities (IF).
  • has knowledge and experience of working in a low-stimulation manner.

We also welcome candidates with knowledge and experience working with TAKK (sign language as an alternative and complementary communication) and AKK (alternative and complementary communication).

We will have digital interviews on 11/2 and in the afternoon on 12/2.

You must be able to provide a criminal record from the police for work in schools or preschools. This should not be attached to your application.
