In addition, you will participate in a structured administrative joint value foundation work, and you will work in a reasonably sized municipality where you are involved in decision-making.

Hedängskolan 6-9 is a school with approximately 260 students and about 35 employees. The school is located in Storvik with good communication options by bus/train. In the school's vicinity, there are nature areas, ski trails, an ice rink, swimming, sports fields, and a newly built sports hall that is used in the activities. There is also an F-5 school on the school grounds with which we have a good collaboration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a student coach in a special education group, you have an important role in motivating, supporting, and helping students in the special education group during the school day. You are there as support in classroom study situations and during breaks to promote both knowledge development and social development. In the special education group, you contribute to creating the routines that enable students to succeed. You are a role model and help create conditions for good attendance and security. The role involves close collaboration with teachers and contact with guardians.

You contribute by:

• Being a support for students in teaching and during breaks
• Creating trusting relationships and promoting safety
• Motivating and inspiring students to learn and attend
• Collaborating with teachers and guardians
• Actively participating in the school's safety work

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, personal maturity and a professional approach are required. As a student coach, you meet students in various situations, making it important to be secure and stable with good self-awareness, as well as being able to distinguish between the personal and the professional. Flexibility is crucial as daily life can change quickly, and seeing opportunities in new situations is a strength. The role is based on collaboration, listening, communicating, and resolving conflicts constructively.

The following is required for the assignment:

• Higher education in pedagogy, behavioral science, or another equivalent education
• Experience working with children and young people in need of special support, as well as experience from working in a school environment is meritorious.

Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and your experience.
