JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The adapted primary school at Norrsätraskolan covers grades 1-9 and offers two orientations: subjects and subject areas. The subject orientation follows the curriculum for adapted primary school, while the subject areas are intended for students who cannot benefit from all or parts of the education in subjects. The curriculum includes communication, aesthetic activities, motor skills, everyday activities, and perception of reality.

The mission involves working both closely with students and guiding staff within subjects and subject areas. You collaborate with teachers, the student health team, and assistant principals to create promoting, preventive, and inclusive learning environments. Part of the work is operational with students based on educational and developmental needs, both individually and in groups.

You contribute by:

• Guiding and supporting staff in working with students.
• Actively participating in the school's student health team.
• Planning and developing teaching together with colleagues.
• Creating good relationships and a safe learning environment.

We make each other better by:

• Sharing knowledge and experiences in an open and supportive work climate.
• Working together to develop the operations and meet the needs of the students.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, good leadership skills, the ability to create warm relationships, and a solution-focused working approach are needed. A particular interest and competence in intellectual disabilities and autism are important.

The following is required for the assignment:

• Special Teacher/Special Educator.

Meritorious is a licensed primary school teacher, as well as experience working with students with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum.

Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and your experience.
