Cultural preschool Flying Dragon is centrally located in Sandviken and is part of the cultural center where the library, art hall, Trampoline, and Culture School are also located. The preschool consists of 7 departments for children aged 1-5 years. We work thematically with aesthetic learning processes as the basis for learning and development according to the preschool curriculum. Here we are curious preschool teachers, childcare workers, and teachers who, together with a drama educator, challenge the children in their learning. Together with the children, we create a creative, imaginative, and dynamic teaching that stimulates lifelong learning. In our spacious premises, we have good conditions for play, creation, dance, music, and drama. This allows us to offer a stimulating employment in a dynamic environment!

The preschool has organized conditions for reflection, collegial exchange, and pedagogical development time.

We have access to pedagogical guidance and deepening from a special educator and quality coordinator. We also have access to family advisors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A little better every day!

You will be involved in starting a department for children aged 1-3 years.

In daily work, pedagogical documentation and reflection are a natural part, to systematically ensure the quality of the operations. In working in preschool, you implement the intentions of the curriculum, which becomes evident in the teaching with the children. You start from the children's interests, curiosity, and initiatives and translate that into goal-oriented processes where the children's learning is in focus.

The children's influence and participation play a central role in the work, which means that you, together with the children and colleagues, reflect and analyze learning processes, work methods, and the educators' approaches. In your approach, you dare to try new methods and tools together with children and colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Do these positions sound interesting? We are looking for you who:

• have a degree in preschool education and are a licensed preschool teacher. We welcome both newly graduated and experienced applicants. As a newly graduated preschool teacher, you will be offered an introductory period together with a mentor for one year.
• have an interest in working with aesthetic learning processes.
• have a reflective approach and, together with other staff, further develop the education.
• have a positive attitude in meeting people and show great commitment.
• have knowledge of the preschool's governing documents and pedagogical documentation.
• have IT skills and use the computer as a pedagogical tool in daily work.

We expect you to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. As we want several employees with language and cultural competence, we welcome applicants from all ethnic backgrounds.

It is also meritorious if you have experience of:

• Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
• Multilingualism and Systematic Quality Work

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and your experience. Experience working as a preschool teacher, childcare worker, or similar role is required.
