Hälsinglands Education Association is looking for a coach for RIG/NIU Table Tennis

Hälsinglands Education Association is a municipal federation formed by the municipalities of Bollnäs and Söderhamn with the mission to meet students' demand for education with breadth and quality.

The federation's work is characterized by being a driver for growth, a broker of education, and a meeting place for development. We run upper secondary and adult education for the municipalities' residents and provide opportunities for higher vocational education and distance studies at colleges and universities. We also offer commissioned training to companies and organizations, as well as opportunities for research and development.

Description

RIG/NIU Table Tennis

Here, students have the opportunity to combine their upper secondary studies with table tennis at an elite level.

The National Sports High School started in the autumn of 2023, and from the autumn of 2026, we will have 10 places available over a 3-year period. The work will also include collaboration with RIG and NIU.

In direct collaboration with the Swedish Table Tennis Association, the Swedish Sports Confederation, and Staffangymnasiet, which is part of Hälsinglands Education Association, we are developing opportunities for our students to achieve success in both their studies and elite sports.

The combination of elite sports and education is an important foundation in the Swedish sports model. Every elite athlete should be given the opportunity to fully commit to their sport, but equally important is the ability to combine this commitment with upper secondary education. This provides elite athletes with enhanced opportunities for further education and to enter the labor market during or after their career.

Staffangymnasiet offers the opportunity to train and learn elite sports during the day, while we also take significant responsibility for both after-school training and for national and international competitions.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for overall planning, group training, and individual training, coaching, and administration within RIG/NIU.
• Your mission is to be at the forefront of table tennis training.
• Your responsibilities also include accompanying players to competitions within Sweden.
• You will also be involved in international assignments such as competitions and camps.
• This includes systematic quality work and planning together with your colleagues at RIG, NIU, other staff at the school, and with the Swedish Table Tennis Association.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about table tennis and enjoys guiding and supporting young people.
• Is a skilled and driven coach.
• Has sound values and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, both within our RIG, NIU, and the entire upper secondary school, as well as with different individuals behind our aspiring students.
• Has documented leadership and coaching experience and the ability to translate individual training needs while also developing training for groups.
• As a person, you are confident in providing support and conveying plans into clear actions in training and competition situations both at school, at camps, and during competitions.
• Work is done in teams with other coaches, so it is essential that you enjoy working in a group.
• You collaborate with the principal and other teachers/coaches at RIG, NIU to determine how to best allocate working hours together.

Conditions

The position is a permanent employment of 75-100%, % by agreement with the recruiting principal.
