About Us

Nordanstig Municipality has preschools in the towns of Gnarp, Harmånger, Strömsbruk, Ilsbo, Bergsjö, and Hassela.

We have close collaboration between the preschools and our management organization consisting of principals, two special educators, part of the school psychologist service, and a development educator. Our two special educators work with our various preschools together with the respective principal and development educator. We work for the municipality's development in child health issues in joint meetings in central child health at the management level and gather representatives from all preschools at least three times per term in pedagogical leadership meetings where the special educator's competence is also utilized.

The special educator is an important part of the systematic quality work.

Your Assignment

You primarily work preventively and promotively in your assigned preschool area by:

• Supporting and guiding the work teams in special educational work
• Contributing to the development of accessible learning environments
• Conducting assessments and observations
• Working closely with the principal on issues related to children's development and needs
• Collaborating with guardians and external actors as needed
• Planning and implementing training initiatives for educators together with your colleagues

Who Are We Looking For?

• You are a qualified special educator
• Have good knowledge of children's early development and special educational methods
• Are confident in guiding and have experience in process guidance
• Have a solution-focused, professional, and attentive approach
• You have good collaboration skills but can also work independently
• As the position involves traveling between preschools in the municipality's service vehicle, we require that you have a driver's license
