Summer Job for Youth - Administrator

We are looking for a fast and meticulous administrator who enjoys working with youth. In this role, you will connect with both the business community and municipal officials.

About Us

Solna Municipality operates based on the Solna Model, where the needs of individuals and businesses are intertwined. Within the Department of Labor Market and Business, we work closely together and are constantly seeking new ways for more residents of Solna to gain employment and thus live an independent life.

The Labor Market and Business Department is responsible for preparing people for work and studies, as well as developing the business climate in the city in collaboration with the business community. The department consists of about thirty employees who work with labor market and business issues as well as adult education.

What Does the Job Entail?

Every year, Solna Municipality offers summer jobs to the youth of Solna, with many different employers and across various industries. We also offer holiday jobs during other school breaks as more targeted interventions. Applications for summer 2026 open on February 1, so we are now in full swing looking for workplaces with various employers in Solna. Following this, there will be work to match the youth with suitable workplaces and periods. The work is coordinated by a project manager, and several of the department's employees support in various ways. We now need to strengthen the workgroup with a more administratively focused resource who can work temporarily during the most intensive period around the summer jobs.

A large part of the work involves answering questions from youth, parents, and workplaces, as well as administering the youth's employment contracts. It also includes preparing information for and holding information meetings for the youth and facilitating for the workplaces in various ways. You will also assist with the matching work and visit workplaces that host summer interns.

There is some flexibility regarding the scope of work and working hours based on workload and your circumstances. Some evening and weekend work may occur. We expect you to work 30-40 hours a week. You will be based at Solna City Hall but will be mobile throughout the city and collaborate with both municipal operations and the business community.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who has:

• high school education
• good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• good IT skills
• experience in administrative work, e.g., registry management or data processing.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• coordinated or administered summer jobs in another municipality or region
• an ongoing or completed higher education in, for example, HR or public administration.
• experience with labor market issues or job coaching
• experience working with youth.

To thrive and succeed in this role, you should easily collaborate with others, have a good ability to plan and execute your work with precision and focus on results. You are self-driven and easily adapt to new working methods and routines.
