We are now looking for a Payroll Specialist with a background in finance for our client north of Stockholm for a permanent position. The role involves responsibility for payroll management and close collaboration with the finance and HR functions to ensure accurate and efficient processes.

About the role

As a payroll specialist, you will be an important part of the organization's administrative support and responsible for the entire payroll process. You will work in a cross-functional environment where quality, legal security, and service are central. The position is located with our client north of Stockholm and most work will be on-site.

Examples of tasks
  • Manage payroll administration for employees including reporting, reconciliations, and payroll runs

  • Ensure correct handling of taxes, benefits, vacation, and absence in the payroll system

  • Perform payroll preparation and verify documentation from managers and employees

  • Follow up and report payroll-related costs together with the finance department

  • Participate in improvement and development work regarding payroll processes and system support

  • Answer questions from employees and managers and provide guidance on payroll issues

  • Contact with authorities and external parties

  • Reconciliations, controls, bookkeeping, and reporting

About you

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

  • Experience in payroll administration,

  • A finance background or equivalent education in finance

  • Good knowledge of payroll systems and payroll processes as well as experience with Excel

  • Understanding of the connection between payroll and accounting and experience with reconciliations

  • Attention to detail, structured work style, and the ability to work both independently and in a team

  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written form

Experience with HR systems and collective agreement interpretation is an advantage.

Furthermore, you are service-oriented, confident in your role, and have a problem-solving attitude. You thrive in a role where you can combine attention to detail with collaboration across functions and contribute to more efficient processes.
