Parental Leave Substitute Lawyer in Data Protection

We are strengthening our supervisory operations with two parental leave substitutes for 12 months. Job Responsibilities

As a lawyer at the authority, you will work with a wide range of tasks within the data protection area.

One position focuses on public operations, such as authorities and healthcare providers. The unit handles referrals and collaborates with authorities and governmental investigations on data protection issues. Furthermore, the unit is responsible for risk-based supervision according to the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and complementary legislation in the public sector. The work is largely carried out independently with a focus on the employees' expert role.

The other position is responsible for risk-based supervision according to the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and complementary legislation regarding working life and video surveillance. The unit also handles applications for permits to process data on violations of the law and court processes. The work is largely carried out independently but also in collaboration with others in the unit.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a law degree (jur. kand.) or equivalent, is notarized or has equivalent experience deemed comparable by the employer. You also have at least four years of experience in qualified legal work. You have excellent written and verbal skills in both Swedish and English.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience in supervisory work
• Experience in leading supervisory work
• Experience in legislative work, e.g., from a government department
• Experience in court processes
• Knowledge of data protection legislation
• Practical experience in applying these rules in the private or public sector, especially regarding healthcare, education, video surveillance, and labor issues
• Competence in IT and information security and understanding of technology-related issues, such as artificial intelligence

The Position

The positions are parental leave substitutes for full-time work for 12 months. The positions are located in supervisory units, and you report to the unit manager. The work is based in our pleasant activity-based premises centrally located in Stockholm, with the possibility of individual agreements regarding remote work.
