About the Position

As a Controller at Vinnova, you will work with financial monitoring and reporting of EU projects according to applicable regulations, ensuring that the projects' accounting complies with both EU and state requirements. In the role of Controller, you will closely collaborate with project managers and other internal functions to monitor, report, and ensure the quality of the finances in the agency's EU-funded initiatives. You will, among other things, ensure correct and efficient accounting and reporting of the EU's partnership programs, primarily projects related to metals and minerals.

Other common tasks:

Collaborate with project managers, controllers, and external partners.
Participate in audits and reviews from the EU Commission and national authorities.
Develop and improve internal routines related to the finances of EU projects.
Assist with other financial tasks in the unit as needed.
Conduct training and information meetings together with other colleagues in the EU projects as needed, partially related to the reporting system support.

Sweden's innovation agency, Vinnova, is a government agency under the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise and is the national contact authority for the EU's framework program for research and innovation. Vinnova is also the government's expert authority in the field of innovation policy. Vinnova has approximately 240 employees with its headquarters in Stockholm and also has dispatched employees in Brussels, Singapore, Silicon Valley, and Tel Aviv.

Assignment Period and Scope

The position as Controller is a full-time consulting assignment with a planned start date of 2026-04-13 and is expected to last until 2026-12-31 with the possibility of extension for an additional three months.

Remote work is possible up to 50% if the work allows.

Requirements for the Position:

High school or equivalent education.
Relevant post-secondary education in finance or other equivalent experience.
At least three years of work experience as a controller in the last six years.
At least one year of experience in financial work related to EU projects.
Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Knowledge of analytical tools (e.g., QlikView, Insikt, and Power BI).
Knowledge of financial systems (e.g., Unit 4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, etc.).
Experience in governmental accounting.
Experience in giving presentations.

You are flexible, confident in giving presentations, and have a strong ability to collaborate and communicate with different target groups.
